Held on March 28th, 2024, at the Oakland Scottish Rite Center, the prestigious awards ceremony recognized the most innovative businesses and organizations across Alameda and Contra Costa Counties. Saildrone, a leader in ocean exploration technology, took home the award in the Advanced Manufacturing category, while Rain, a pioneer in aerial firefighting solutions, secured the win in the Technology category.

Saildrone’s fleet of uncrewed surface vehicles (USVs) provides a revolutionary approach to oceanographic research, mapping, and maritime security. Their USVs boast an impressive track record, having logged over 32,000 days at sea and traversing a million nautical miles across the globe.
Rain is at the forefront of aerial wildfire containment technology. Their solutions equip existing autonomous aircraft with the intelligence to detect, analyze, and suppress wildfires in their early stages. This allows fire agencies to deploy multiple aircraft in remote areas, drastically reducing response times and saving lives.
