Located within the Alameda Theatres Cineplex building, Cinema Grill
features eclectic comfort food and a Craft Cocktail Program inspired by
Hollywood’s Golden Age as well as by the the newest local bar trends.
Cinema Grill was created with a desire to develop an innovative way to
integrate the dining and movie-going experience.
Restaurant patrons are be able to purchase movie tickets and take food,
beer, wine and cocktails with them into the auditoriums through the
BACKSTAGE PASS; a private corridor connecting the restaurant with the
cinema. Movie theatre guests who opt to purchase Reserved Seats within a
specified seating area will be able to order food and drinks to be
delivered to their seat from the restaurant.
Cinema Grill will feature:
-Eclectic menu crafted with love from locally sourced ingredients and
inspired by California’s diverse culinary influences.
-Beverage program focused on classic & modern craft cocktails expertly
prepared by trained mixologists.
-Carefully curated selection of locally made natural wines and microbrews.
-Small production organic natural sodas from producers like Caamaño Bros &
Maine Root.

Asena restaurant has been family owned and operated in Alameda since 1996. Co-owners Mustafa Yildirim and Muhittin Arpaci both hail from Turkey, a country known for its generous hospitality and delicious Mediterranean cuisine. Together, they have over 30 years of experience in East Bay and San Francisco restaurants.
Asena features fresh, elegant Cal-Med cuisine and our menu changes every season. Our bread, soups, and most pastas are made by hand, everyday. Our wine list is one of the most comprehensive in the East Bay, and also changes seasonally. We are proud to offer a boutique bar, with many of our own specialty cocktails to compliment your dining experience. We hold annual “meet the winemaker” dinners (which sell out early) and have recently featured Kenwood, Flora Springs, and Alameda’s own Rosenblum Cellars.
We are proud to support other local business by featuring products from J.P. Seafood, Scalise and Sons, Rosenblum Cellars, and Hangar One. We are also proud to have supported local schools, religious and civic organizations with thousands of dollars of gift certificates donated over the past 10 years.
BLPH provides a variety of organic, natural and humanely raised meats, with a variety of cooking methods from around the country. For example, our tender moist fallin-off-the-bone baby back ribs are offered “wet” (STL), “basted” (KC) & “dry” (Memphis) style. Our pulled pork is smoked “low and slow” to a tender, moist, juicy succulent perfection just like the best joints all over the country do it. We have tender and moist beef brisket, smoked for 12 hours for those that love Texas style BBQ.
We offer a variety of homemade sauces to compliment all of our smoked meats. STL – sweet & tangy, KC – sweet & spicy, NC & TZ – tangy & spicy, or mustard based sauce. We use only local organic and sustainable farmers (in season) for our produce to make our sides and salads. Best Lil’ Porkhouse is the best place in Marin and the surrounding Bay Area to come and enjoy some serious BBQ for serious BBQ lovers!
Where we believe that delicious food is mans’ best friend…. Bowzer’s serves up fresh homemade pizza, subs and salads in a family friendly atmosphere. We pride ourselves on making all of our dough, dressings and sauces from scratch and providing high quality pizzas. We compliment our home made recipes with artisan cured meats, fine cheeses and fresh and local produce.
From his early lessons in his nonna’s Elba Island kitchen, to the recipes perfected as he studied the culinary arts in Italy, Chef Rudy prepares the historic flavors of Tuscany for your enjoyment today.
C’era Una Volta opened in 2004, and each year since, we have been honored to be recognized by the Accademia Italiana della Cucina, an official organization of the Italian government, as an authentic Italian restaurant.
Slow Food Mission
In addition to presenting authentic Italian cooking, Chef Rudy has been a member of the original Italian division of Slow Food since 1990, and a member of the Alameda Slow Food convivium since its inception in 2008. Slow Food is a movement that advocates respect for the origins of foods, authentic cultural preparation and the sense of community that accompanies this mission.
Community is truly at the heart of our culinary philosophy. And in keeping with the essence of taking time to enjoy the act of eating with friends, C’era Una Volta offers a quiet location and a relaxed atmosphere in Redwood Square in which to savor your dinner, lunch or caffé in good company at a liesurely pace.

For a special occasion, ask about our chef’s tasting menus, prepared by Chef Rudy to pair our fine Italian wines with savory flavors and sweet desserts. Also, in addition to our delivery and off-site catering services, our private dining room and mezzanine are available for meetings, conferences, and customized full-service catered parties.

It’s got some serious meat to it
Growing up in a family that is both entrepreneurial and built on decades of fire and police service, it seems we were destined to start Firehouse Subs®. Of course we tried other things along the way to our American Dream – rock ’n’ roll, real estate, and even Christmas tree farming. But everything we experienced on our path led us to Firehouse Subs.
20 years later, with more than 900 Firehouse Subs restaurants We’re Convinced We’re Doing A Few Things Right
People come back when they’re treated well and fed well. Turns out, people absolutely LOVE the same things we do – the best meats, cheeses, and toppings we can find. Take our Hook & Ladder® Sub for example, with Virginia honey ham, smoked turkey breast, and melted Monterey Jack. People come back again and again because, unlike other sub places, we steam our meats and cheeses, releasing a rush of flavors, then stuff a serving that’s way over code on one of our toasted private-recipe sub rolls. The Fireside Lounge is a women-owned bar located at 1453 Webster Street in Alameda. We offer a fun, friendly unpretentious environment with great music and cocktails. Our products include local craft beers and an extensive selection of high-quality American craft spirits. We emphasize cocktails inspired by classic recipes using fresh local ingredients. Our mission is to spread excitement and knowledge about the best craft distilleries. We aim to attract craft beverage enthusiasts from the greater Bay Area while providing a comfortable environment for our neighborhood locals. Every week we feature live music from a variety of local bands and up-and-coming musicians.
