Water Rock Construction delivers seamless turnkey consultation through construction solutions designed for clients who must resolve environmental contamination before building. We began construction services in the San Francisco Bay area in 2010, and our team has grown to include individuals with technical and regulatory experiences ranging from military bases and mines to landfills and Ports to the corner gas station and dry cleaner.

Steve Michelson, PG  Principal 
Steve brings over 25 years experience applying technical, economic, and regulatory analysis to the investigation, design, construction, closure, and restoration of environmental liabilities. He is a licensed geologist in California. Steve is also a licensed CA contractor with A, B, Demolition (C-12), Drilling (C-57), and Haz supplemental certifications. His technical expertise is extensive in projects assessing sources and extent of chemical contamination in soil and water. His construction experience includes resolving environmental problems by designing and constructing cost effective remediation, restoration, and mitigation solutions.

Dan Mularoni, PE (MN)  Project Manager / Estimator
Dan carries a high level of cross-over experience in project management, estimating, and GPS implementation to Water Rock. With over eight years of experience in the heavy civil construction industry, he has a proven track-record managing projects and is committed to meeting clients’ needs. Dan holds a bachelors of Civil Engineering degree from the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities and minor in Construction Management.

Ken Price, PG, CEG, REA    Project Director, Consulting

Ken brings over 30 years in the environmental consulting arena to the team. He has particular expertise assisting commercial real estate brokers and developers with property transactions, and expedited investigation through remediation.

Tyson Fulmer, PG  Project Manager, Project Geologist, Consulting
Tyson brings over 10 year’s experience leading a variety of field investigations at military bases, landfills, port facilities, dredging sites, and gas stations. Tyson is a hands-on, solution oriented project geologist.

Cheryl Cary  Project Coordinator
Cheryl brings experience in planning and coordinating field efforts both from the office and on site. She assists with developing and managing day-to-day responsibilities of the project. Her management of on-site personnel and activities in projects particularly pertaining to environmental remediation and restoration ensures that projects stay on budget on a daily basis.


Applied Water Resources began in 1998, and is a certified small business with a highly qualified mix of professional scientists and engineers. We are a multidisciplinary team that focuses on environmental site assessments, environmental construction and water resources. We provide expert technical and strategic services to private and public entities seeking to identify, evaluate, manage, reduce, and/or leverage environmental risks and liabilities. We also provide environmental construction services allowing us to provide turnkey environmental solutions.

AWR employs California licensed geologists, hydrogeologists, engineers and engineering geologists. AWR is a California licensed engineering (A), general (B) contractor (#937701) with a specialty well drilling (C57) license, hazardous substance removal (HAZ) certification and is bonded for heavy construction projects.

Blue Endeavors uses dive and science programs to mobilize underwater explorers, students, and citizen scientists to provide quantifiable solutions to the environmental crisis.
Our Mission Statement

Blue Endeavors is a nonprofit organization that utilizes traditional and scientific scuba diving education, community outreach, and partnerships with national and international environmental conservation organizations to foster and embolden a social movement of citizen scientists and activists in pursuit of saving our oceans.
