I am a Certified Master Mediator (CMM), Mental Health & Substance Abuse Counselor (MA, CADC-II), Reiki Master Teacher (RMT) and Certified Yoga Teacher (CYT). I specialize in, and am not limited to, Family & Marital Mediation for those affected by Substance Use. In addition to Mediation, I offer Coaching and Counseling sessions to support your development, along with Reiki energy healing.

Healing is not a curing of symptoms, but the integration of a more whole self. My holistic background enhances my capabilities as a mindful mediator, coach/counselor and energy practitioner. I can assist you with these varying modalities to move through challenges, so you can utilize conflict as a platform to transform your life and relationships.

I am truly passionate about my work and believe it is important to find the right match. My goal is to meet everyone where they are at in their readiness and insights, and I work with a wide range of clients from various backgrounds. I have over a decade of experience in working with others, and will bring a comprehensive and eclectic approach to our time together. Working from the Present allows for the integration of mindfulness techniques within our experience. My ability to empathize and yet remain objective is my biggest gift. I provide a safe and judgment free setting, so that my clients can relax and allow themselves to open to a new awareness.

Bob is President of Polaris One and Insurance Coach U. He coaches financial services professionals who want to achieve more in their business and personal life. Bob brings 30 years of experience in these areas.

Bob is a NAIFA coach, author of What Every Salesperson Knows, a no nonsense guide to sales success.  He is the creator of an online program, The Time Management Boot Camp.

Bob has contributed articles to many industry publications, including Advisor Today, Super Annuity Producer, Producers Web, and the GAMA International Journal. A seasoned presenter, Bob has spoken nationally on goal setting, training and leadership at company and insurance industry meetings and conferences.  He has presented at MDRT, GAMA LAMP and NAIFA’s annual meetings.

After a successful career in insurance sales, Bob was the VP of producer and manager training and development departments in several Fortune 500 insurance companies. Bob was appointed General Manager of The American College LUTC program. As General Manager, Bob provided direction and management oversight in support of LUTC’s online training, association marketing, and company and custom programs.

Bob began his life insurance career with The Northwestern Mutual in 1976 and was a multi-year member of the Million Dollar Roundtable. He was named Northwestern Mutual Life’s New Agent of the Year, and was a multi-year recipient of both the National Quality Award and the National Sales Achievement Award.

Bob is a past member of the New England Training Directors Association (Hall of Fame recipient), ASAE and the Center for Association Leadership, and the Financial Services Marketing Association (Board member).
Bob is passionate about what he does.  He is dedicated to helping his clients be all that they are capable of being.

When not coaching, Bob enjoys spending time with his family, reading, hiking, bicycling and kayaking. Bob is passionate about air and space exploration and was a docent at the National Air and Space Museum in Washington, D.C.

Through Ripple Effects 18+ year history, our hiring practices, product development process, and outcome research have all been oriented toward leveling the playing field for those with diminished prospects for success. Both student and teacher software target a wide spectrum of individual risk factors, and provide cognitive-behavioral, affective, social-skill and social change training to help address them. Use of our student software often starts in detention settings, with kids who are close to reaching the end of the line.  It is often a part of IEP and behavioral support plans. It includes a whole range of ways of making the program more accessible to English Language learners (ELL) , and students with disabilities (SWD), including hearing impaired students, mobility impaired students, students with attention problems, and those with mild cognitive disorders. Most testing has been conducted in schools and settings that predominantly serve students with both personal and group level risk factors. Use of the professional development software supports teacher effectiveness with these same populations of students.

Susan is a 4th generation Californian and has lived in Alameda for over 30 years. When not coaching Susan loves spending time playing tennis, watching sports (especially Cal Bears) traveling, going to estate sales and flea markets, and enjoying time with family and friends. She has been a lifelong volunteer with the Oakland Museum White Elephant Sale, is currently on the Business Advisory Boards with Diablo Valley College and John F. Kennedy University and is the President of the Alameda Business Networking group.
