Amy’s Moveable Feast

I started Amy’s Moveable Feast in 2012 for my love of cooking and entertaining. I come from a family of generations of good cooks who share the same passions–the joy of cooking for others, the pleasure of gathering with friends and family, and the happiness received from those enjoying themselves.

Born and raised in the Bay Area, I grew up eating home-cooked meals with my family. Those experiences taught me to appreciate the freshness of food and the importance of sitting and taking pleasure in your meal.

Coming from a previous career in the corporate world I understand how busy lives can get and how easy it is to stray from preparing a fresh and delicious home-cooked meal. So at Amy’s Moveable Feast I would like to provide you a little more time to enjoy a delicious, freshly prepared meal–from my kitchen to yours!

Amy’s Moveable Feast prepares fresh, rustic, home-cooked meals from scratch. We offer a weekly choice of two different entrees that include a side starch and fresh vegetable prepared in a local commercial kitchen. The meals are packaged in microwave-safe containers and can be reheated up to three days after delivery.

We shop farmers markets for the freshest seasonal selection of fruits and vegetables, and source certified humane meats and poultry as much as possible. If you are interested in more information about our ingredients, please contact us and we’ll be happy to provide you with further information.

Sign up on our website and receive our weekly email every Friday with the following week’s menu choices.
Place your order online or by email by Monday at 11 a.m. for Tuesday’s delivery.
Every Tuesday between 4-6:30 p.m., Amy’s Moveable Feast will deliver your meals to your home. If you won’t be home we can leave your prepared meals in a cooler or insulated bag at your door or by other arrangement. Please contact AMF to arrange special delivery options.

Because Amy’s meals are made using the freshest ingredients and are prepared from scratch that day, you can order multiple meals for the week and they will retain their wholesomeness and flavor up to three days after delivery.

Amy’s Moveable Feast provides fresh, comforting, and delicious home-cooked meals that are both convenient and affordable. We understand how busy life can be and think you should have the time to sit and enjoy a freshly prepared meal for you and your family.

Asena, Inc.

Asena restaurant has been family owned and operated in Alameda since 1996. Co-owners Mustafa Yildirim and Muhittin Arpaci both hail from Turkey, a country known for its generous hospitality and delicious Mediterranean cuisine. Together, they have over 30 years of experience in East Bay and San Francisco restaurants.

Asena features fresh, elegant Cal-Med cuisine and our menu changes every season. Our bread, soups, and most pastas are made by hand, everyday. Our wine list is one of the most comprehensive in the East Bay, and also changes seasonally. We are proud to offer a boutique bar, with many of our own specialty cocktails to compliment your dining experience. We hold annual “meet the winemaker” dinners (which sell out early) and have recently featured Kenwood, Flora Springs, and Alameda’s own Rosenblum Cellars.

We are proud to support other local business by featuring products from J.P. Seafood, Scalise and Sons, Rosenblum Cellars, and Hangar One. We are also proud to have supported local schools, religious and civic organizations with thousands of dollars of gift certificates donated over the past 10 years.

Best Lil’ Porkhouse

BLPH provides a variety of organic, natural and humanely raised meats, with a variety of cooking methods from around the country. For example, our tender moist fallin-off-the-bone baby back ribs are offered “wet” (STL), “basted” (KC) & “dry” (Memphis) style. Our pulled pork is smoked “low and slow” to a tender, moist, juicy succulent perfection just like the best joints all over the country do it. We have tender and moist beef brisket, smoked for 12 hours for those that love Texas style BBQ.

We offer a variety of homemade sauces to compliment all of our smoked meats. STL – sweet & tangy, KC – sweet & spicy, NC & TZ – tangy & spicy, or mustard based sauce. We use only local organic and sustainable farmers (in season) for our produce to make our sides and salads. Best Lil’ Porkhouse is the best place in Marin and the surrounding Bay Area to come and enjoy some serious BBQ for serious BBQ lovers!

C’era Una Volta

From his early lessons in his nonna’s Elba Island kitchen, to the recipes perfected as he studied the culinary arts in Italy, Chef Rudy prepares the historic flavors of Tuscany for your enjoyment today.
C’era Una Volta opened in 2004, and each year since, we have been honored to be recognized by the Accademia Italiana della Cucina, an official organization of the Italian government, as an authentic Italian restaurant.

Slow Food Mission

In addition to presenting authentic Italian cooking, Chef Rudy has been a member of the original Italian division of Slow Food since 1990, and a member of the Alameda Slow Food convivium since its inception in 2008. Slow Food is a movement that advocates respect for the origins of foods, authentic cultural preparation and the sense of community that accompanies this mission.

Community is truly at the heart of our culinary philosophy. And in keeping with the essence of taking time to enjoy the act of eating with friends, C’era Una Volta offers a quiet location and a relaxed atmosphere in Redwood Square in which to savor your dinner, lunch or caffé in good company at a liesurely pace.

Special Occasions

For a special occasion, ask about our chef’s tasting menus, prepared by Chef Rudy to pair our fine Italian wines with savory flavors and sweet desserts. Also, in addition to our delivery and off-site catering services, our private dining room and mezzanine are available for meetings, conferences, and customized full-service catered parties.

For a real taste of what we have to offer – from the food, to live music, to displays from local artists – we invite you come and see for yourself, and experience the magic of Tuscany right here in Alameda.

Scolari’s at the Point

Since 2010, Scolari’s has been offering a wide selection of “Good Eats”, using foods and ingredients sourced both locally and globally. Scolari’s focus on the tasty rather than the territory and the delectable over the dramatic, enables their kitchen to bring a diverse array of cuisines to your tables without the extended pinky finger.

Local Alameda business proprietor, Dan Nichols, owner of The Lucky 13 Bar, opened Scolari’s with Culinarian and Executive Chef Mike Boyd in 2010. Since it’s opening Scolari’s has developed a loyal and local following that routinely earns 5-star reviews on Yelp. Scolari’s is conveniently located adjacent to the Lucky 13 Bar, where patrons can order their food then head next door for a beer and Scolari’s will deliver your delicious burger right to you.

In 2011, Scolari’s was chosen as “Best New Restaurant (open less than a year)” by the readers of Alameda Magazine for Alameda’s “Best of 2011”.

Then, in 2012, Alameda Magazine’s “Best of 2012” named Scolari’s Good Eats with the “Best Burger”, “Best Non-Burger Burger”, “Best Twist on French Fries”, and “Best Late-Night Munchies”.

Regular specials include not only burgers and fries, but fresh Stromboli, Taylor Ham with fried egg and cheese on brioche, fresh mozzarella salad with red onion, arugula dressed with basil puree and balsamic vinegar, as well as fresh roasted pork shoulder with parmesan and kale. Scolari’s also regularly makes their own house bread, has daily pizza specials by the slice, and additional vegan options.

In 2012, the extension of the restaurant arrived in the form of a vintage 1964 AirStream camper trailer that was converted to a food truck. In August, the AirStream started offering lunch at a Harbor Bay Parkway site and received much enthusiasm from the local businesses as well as locals just walking by.

The Scolari’s AirStream offers the same delicious food from the restaurant on a regular basis, as well as seasonal specials and super specials not offered at the restaurant. It is also available for all types of catering events.

In January 2013, the Scolari’s AirStream it made its 1st appearance at the Alameda Point Antiques Faire. Mike Boyd’s goal is to “Satisfy and fortify the antique shopper with hot and delicious breakfast food (for the early shopper) or hearty and fulfilling lunches for those persevering throughout the afternoon in search of the perfect treasure”.

Scolari’s Good Eats restaurant is located at 1303 Park Street at Encinal in downtown Alameda. Daily menus are posted on Facebook, or call 510-521-2400. The Scolari’s Good Eats AirStream is located at booth #FM22 at Antiques by the Bay every 1st Sunday of the month at Point Alameda.
